On and on...

There are some days when you do nothing. They just pass by. Today was one. As is every other day... and the story continues

re-public?

and before you could say cheese, yet another republic day has passed by. but the worst thing about republic day is that i am not sure what this is supposed to mean or what am i supposed to do. should i :
(a) go and jump around in joy,
(b) go and see the republic day parade, or
(c) listen to president's speech on tv.

my text book says that it was on this day that the indian constitution came to being, and india became a democratic republic. so what? is this a mechanism of making people feel more patriotic about their country? in that case, isnt an indepemdence day enough? does this really serve any purpose?

i dont know about you, but i dont like the world "patriotism". i have always learned that all men are the same. so why should i feel good about having being born an indian. everybody feels proud to have been born in their own country. and that doesnt make anyone better or worser than anyone else. so why shud i care?

the fact that you have read upto this point without hitting your head on the keyboard is proof enough that you are an utter useless fellow. and bingo .. you are the kind of reader i am expecting to read my blogs. my foot size is 11, just in case you are planning to throw in some chappals. thanks for reading my very first blog. i hope it was a real waste of your time(and hopefully your money too). keep reading, coz we are drawing a lot for all those of you who drop in to read these blogs. and the winner gets a free one-way ticket to uganda(i bet you wouldnt need a return ticket!!).
